Personal Biography:
Hailing originally from a small town in central California where she grew up on a large dairy farm, Michelle attended Saint Mary's College & California State University at Stanislaus, graduating with a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology. Throughout her time at these universities she was an active athlete, and a member of Phi Sigma Sigma sorority and various academic honor societies.

Michelle received her Juris Doctorate from University of the Pacific, McGeorge School of Law. During law school Michelle developed an avid interest in oral advocacy, particularly appellate argument. She advanced to the National Finals on McGeorge's ABA Moot Court Competition Team and was selected as a National Honoree of the Order of the Barristers.

Michelle also maintained an active interest in social activities while living in Sacramento, serving as Vice Justice of the Phi Alpha Delta Legal Fraternity, Co-Chair of Intramural Sports, and as a member of the Women's Caucus, Golf Club and several city league softball teams.
Though she values her small town roots, Michelle has quickly acclimated to city life and now swears she'll never leave sunny San Diego.

Professional Activities:
Michelle is a member of the San Diego County Bar Association, the San Diego Defense Lawyers Association, and INNS of Court, She is admitted to practice before all California State Courts and the United States District Court, Southern District of California.

These days you can find Michelle conquering one of San Diego's many beautiful golf courses, practicing for entry into the World Series of Poker, re-teaching herself piano, or enthusiastically supporting one of Southern California's professional sports teams.
