Personal Biography: Joanne was born in New York, and then raised in Southern California. She received her Bachelor of Arts degree in political science from the University of California at Santa Barbara, where she received a business writing award and received recognition from the NAACP for her work in the Asian community.
While in Santa Barbara, Joanne worked as an intern for the District Attorney’s office and decided to pursue a legal career.
While attending the University of San Diego School of Law, Joanne participated in the comparative law program in Florence, Italy. She also clerked for the Attorney General Summer Honor’s program and for an administrative judge at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission.
Joanne has experience litigating cases involving construction defect, personal injury, real estate and business law. She is developing a practice area of providing consultation to start up businesses and forming and consulting for international business entities.
Professional Activities: Joanne is a member of the American Bar Association, San Diego County Bar Association, the Orange County Bar Association, the Los Angeles Bar Association, and the San Diego Defense Lawyers League. She is admitted to practice in all State Courts in California, and the United States District Court for the Southern District of California.
On A Personal Note: Joanne enjoys writing short stories, travel, and spending time with family and friends. In her spare time, Joanne and her husband work together remodeling their new home.
