Personal Biography: Born and raised in the Philippines, Bernadette graduated high school at age 14, and went on to Pontifical University of Santo Tomas, the oldest university in Asia, where she earned a B.A. in Philosophy, at age 18, and a J.D., at age 22. True to her Thomasian roots, at the age of 27, she became the youngest Chief Legal Counsel for a renowned print media company in the Philippines. During her ten years of legal practice in Manila, she successfully defended and won numerous libel cases and vigilantly represented her corporate clients in various contract negotiations. After migrating to the United States in 2003, Bernadette worked for a year as a litigation paralegal at a Los Angeles law firm. She then relocated to Las Vegas, where she took and passed the Nevada Bar examination in 2005, and shortly thereafter joined the firm. Professional Activities: Bernadette is a member of the Clark County Bar Association, the American Bar Association, and the Integrated Bar of the Philippines. She is admitted to practice before all State Courts in Nevada.
On A Personal Note: Bernadette believes in counting her blessings. She considers her family in the Philippines and her husband as her greatest blessings. She shares her father’s belief that wealth is not measured by how much power and material possessions one has but how much knowledge one has obtained and how one uses it. Described by her family as a dutiful daughter, caring sister, generous aunt, loyal and trustworthy friend, and devoted wife, she loves singing, painting, designing clothes, traveling, dining, decorating and doing home improvements, and relaxing with her husband at home, which they consider their “little haven.”
